Privacy Policy — Git Launcher

Effective date: 2026-07-13

Publisher: Jacobus Company, LLC

Git Launcher is a local-only developer tool. It runs entirely on your machine, inside your own project folder.

What we collect

Nothing. Git Launcher does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data, usage analytics, telemetry, or crash reports. There are no accounts, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics.

Your code and content

Everything Git Launcher reads (your source code, git history, README) and everything it writes (launch assets in `OUTPUTS_GIT_LAUNCHER/`) stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded to us or anyone else.

API keys and secrets

Git Launcher itself requires no API keys. If you place keys in an optional `.env` file, they remain on your device and are never read by us or sent anywhere by this tool. Built-in security checks actively help you avoid committing secrets.

Network access

The tool performs no network calls of its own, with two local exceptions: installing its npm dependencies (which contacts the npm registry when you run `npm install`) and taking screenshots of your own dev server on `localhost` only.
